    Position Available: Dental Assistant - Bilingual Spanish

    Organization: Multnomah County Health Department

    Type of Position: 1.0 FTE Spanish Bilingual position at East County Dental Clinic

    Experience Requirements:

    Required Minimum Qualifications/Transferable Skills:
    Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade;
    Successful completion of courses of instruction required prior to certification.

    Successful completion of a program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association is a prerequisite for performing the application of pit and fissure sealants;
    One year of responsible dental assistant experience or graduate from an accredited dental assistant program; AND
    License or Certificate: Possession of an appropriate and valid certificate of Expanded Function Dental Assistant, including a certification of radiologic proficiency issued by the Oregon State Board of Dental Examiners; current Healthcare Provider CPR certification or ability to obtain certification.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Ability (KSA):
    English/Spanish. Spanish Proficiency Exam will be required.

    Preferred Special Qualifications/Transferable Skills:

    Experience with electronic dental records;
    Excel in Customer Service skills.

    Compensation: $18.01 - $22.18 Hourly

    Description & Details:  The current vacancy is a 1.0 FTE Spanish Bilingual position at East County Dental Clinic.

    Integrated Clinical Services provides quality health services for people who experience barriers to accessing care. The vision of Integrated Clinical Services is to provide services that are integrated and connected to support optional health, reducing wait times and optimizing access. The Dental Program works with many community partners, targeting underserved populations in Multnomah County to ensure access to dental services including providing education, prevention and dental treatment. The EFDA Dental Assistant is responsible for a variety of duties to assist Dentists and Dental Hygienists in the delivery of dental care to patients.
